KITCHEN FITTER - EAST SUSSEX
I provide a comprehensive kitchen design, supply and fitting service thoughout East Sussex and also supply kitchens. Each project is tailored to individual requirements.
My kitchen fitting survival guide explains what I do to make an installation less of a strain and also some tips for what you can do yourself to keep things closer to normal living during an installation.
FULL, DESIGN, SUPPLY & FITTING SERVICE
DESIGN - My approach to design is that it takes as long as it takes to come up with a satisfactory solution. A first visit normally entails listening to initial ideas, discussing their practicality and advising accordingly. I will then go away and prepare a set of plans which I will present on a second visit. This normally provokes further discussion and at this stage I will prepare a second set of plans which can sometimes be the final design. If not it's normally a case of very minor adjustments to produce a final set of plans. I firmly believe that the best designs come from an evolving process with all parties having sufficient time to digest all options along the way.
SUPPLY - I always supply the kitchen units and worktops. I can also supply all other materials including appliances. However many of my customers prefer to supply their own appliances. Most use either Appliances Online. I can highly recommend AO.com for choice, value, reliable delivery and service. Whichever option people prefer I provide advice on what type of appliance will fit in the relevant spaces in the kitchen. I can also provide paint, flooring (not tiles), sinks and taps etc. Again I'm happy for people to supply their own if preferred.
INSTALLATION - I carry out all aspects of the job myself inc. installing the units and worktops, plumbing and sink installation, decorating, tiling, most flooring and some plastering. I use a reliable Part P registered sub-contractor for all electrical installations and Gas Safe registered plumber gas plumbing (e.g cooker and hob connections). I use a plasterer for larger plastering jobs. I manage all parts of the project and liaise with all sub-contractors to keep everything running on time.
Reliable sub-contractors are vital to any kitchen installation. It is vital that they fit into the schedule at the right times so I look after all my sub-contractors well and pay them promptly. They are always given plenty of warning of project timescales and that way there is no downtime waiting for people. It's simple, I look after them and they look after me.
